Ver. 4.0 is a major revision with extensive changes as follows:

• DUT and Test definitions are in database records rather than individual files.
  A wizard to convert existing DUT and test files is provided.

• The test hardware components used by COMPASS must be defined in Setup,
  Hardware and the active components must be selected in Setup, System.

• COMPASS run screens make extensive use of resizable windows.

• Active tool bar icons are available while running. These change control parameters
  and windows.

• Support of calibration of density dependent DUTs such as rotameters and turbine
  meters with automated flow control using a mass flow controller, if desired.

• DUTs with RS-232, IEEE 488 and frequency outputs are supported and can be read
  automatically with third party hardware. This allows digital MFCs to be tested.

• Temperature and pressure reading devices can be inlcuded in the System Setup
  to determine the pressure and temperature of the flowing gas.

• molbox taring, purging and leak checking functions can be integrated into tests.

• molblocs can be switched within a test.

• There is an independent report editor that can be run outside of COMPASS. 

• A Tools, COMPASS Options menu has been added providing extensive
  customization capabilities for running tests and storing data.

• The User's Manual is available within COMPASS as an Adobe Acrobat file.
