Manual
COMPASS for Pressure uses an on line HTML help system that is installed with the program. Install and run COMPASS then select the [Help] menu to access the help system.

When downloaded, this file can be run to install COMPASS for Pressure Basic and
COMPASS for Pressure Enhanced.

Summary

COMPASS® for Pressure is a universal platform for all of your pressure calibration software needs. From piston gauges calibrating individual devices in the cal lab to transfer standards characterizing racks of sensors in production, COMPASS provides an off-the-shelf software tool to maximize the automation of your calibration and testing processes.

COMPASS for Pressure integrates calibration functions with pressure specific dependencies that are missing from more generic software packages. Thanks to COMPASS's flexible data output options, the data it collects is easily imported into higher level applications such as Fluke MET/CAL®. This allows the benefits of COMPASS's specialization in pressure calibration to be enjoyed while maintaining the link to your organization's overall calibration management system.

ADD(CP-689) Support alternate units of measure and temperature references for the Piston Cylinder effective area.

CHG(CP-786) When [Tools][Feature Options Display]<\ Support Temperature\> is disabled, use the DUT temperature device unit of measure to log temperature data. When the feature is enabled, the temperature unit selected during test initialization defines the unit of measure for the DUT temperature device.

FIX(CP-759) A macro run at the end of a test cycle can result in duplicate points made available to a test macro. Data file information is now synchronized prior to calling any test event macros at the end of a test cycle to avoid this problem.
FIX(CP-756) The COMPASS Ready option in a Test Definition would fail to return Ready if the reference and controller used different units of measure.
FIX(CP-755) Output resolution of DHI devices does not always conform to the front panel when the "...Preserve front panel resolution.." option is selected.

Rev 1.03e (2005.07.21) ADD: The [Database] [Setup] menu choice has an auto-merge feature that allows setup examples in the default COMPASS database to be added to the active database.
ADD: A new option was added to [Tools][Options][Run Test] to abort a test when a Not Ready condition occurs when averaging.  This feature is enforced only when a pressure stability timeout was encountered when setting the target pressure.
ADD: DHI PG7000 information is only loaded 1 time per PG7000 per run of COMPASS.   Press [Load Settings] to force a reload the information from the PG7000.
ADD: Help buttons are now available on all editors and options forms.

ADD The auto-detection of an RPM4 on the COM2 port of a PPC3 is disabled. This feature caused errors in instruments used from the COM2 of the PPC3. In some cases, the instrument connected to COM2 had to be reset prior to running a test.
ADD Only outputs specifically required by a DHI Piston Gauge are polled remotely. If the Piston Gauge is used only for ambient conditions measurement, piston position related commands are not used. This improves overall system performance.
ADD Change the "ADD Macro" label in macro lists to "Add/Edit Macro" ADD REF COM2 RS232 port options are available in Device Editors.

FIX Cause the mass loading resolution for a DHI Piston Gauge setup with "Autodetect Setup" to default to the last selected resolution on the Piston Gauge or the resolution selected in [Tools],[Options],[Piston Gauge].
FIX The masses in a mass list are sorted first by their numeric value, then by their specified sequence ID. This allows COMPASS to select masses in the proper order.
FIX PPC2 initialization during test setup after [Load Settings] is pressed no longer fails.
FIX An invalid pressure range error message displayed when a vacuum reference sensor was used from a PG7000 hardware definition that uses the "Autodetect Setup" option. This error was accompanied by an entry for head correction height limits for the vacuum reference sensor.

FIX Correct Report Editor now properly reports of hysteresis, linearity and repeatability.
FIX In some occasions COMPASS would select masses to load that were not in the proper mass loading order.
