Description
The Unit of Measure Converter is a free ActiveX control distributed by DH Instruments, Inc. (DHI). This program can be run stand alone or built into other applications. Use the [Show Help] menu choice for details on using this tool.

FIX: Conversion of scih@0.0 and acih to kg/s was off by a factor of 0.035.

 

Ver 2.01 (2006 AUG 14)
CHG: Gas density and compressibility information on the [Gas] tab is based on the gas specific pressure model most appropriate for the pressure entered. Previously the 20MPa pressure model was used regardless of pressure value entered.
CHG: "AirM" is no longer a supported gas selection.
FIX: The gas Acetylene was misspelled.
FIX: [Options][Edit Custom Flow Units] reference temperature and pressure unit drop-down menus are now sorted.
FIX: Addressed issues with program lockup when using dual monitors.
FIX: [Options][Determine Water Ratio] no longer shuts down program.
FIX: ActiveX interface now supports airspeed values when input pressure is negative.

 

Ver 2.00a (2005 SEP 30)
ADD: Compressibility information for gas pressure up to 20 MPa.
ADD: molbloc-S gas isentropic and discharge coefficient data for the remainder of molbox supported gases: C2H4,C2H6,C3H6,C3H8,C4H10,CF4,C2F6,CHF3,C4F8.
ADD: Support true and calibrated airspeed units of measure: ft/s, m/s, mph, km/h, kts, and Mach. Additional entry is required on the main converter display for some airspeed unit conversions.
FIX: The unit conversions for ftWa@39F and inWa@39F were in disagreement with the ftWa@4C and the inWa@4C unit conversions. The 39F and 4C water based pressure units now agree.
FIX: The pressure unit "MPa" was selected as "mPa" when the [Invert] button was pressed on the [Pressure] tab.
FIX: A leading space in the pressure, length, mass or flow entry fields prevents a unit conversion.
FIX: The dyncm2 unit conversion was inverted.

 

Ver 2.00 (2004 DEC 14)
ADD: Use NIST Ref Prop 7 data for gas mass flow unit conversions. Replace previously used "Air Liquide" values.
ADD: Recall last screen size, position and program settings when closing and opening program.
ADD: Add per minute and per hour standard and actual flow units to the default list of flow units.

FIX: The altitude unit conversion to feet or m (meters) for middle altitude ranges (36,089 to 65617ft) was always 0.
FIX: The documented equation for the middle altitude range conversion was incorrect.

ADD: The Unit of Measure Converter does not close when [Esc] is pressed.
ADD: An option is provided to minimize the program.
FIX: The altitude unit conversion to m (meters) was incorrect.
FIX: Length unit conversions would not work unless a numeric value was entered to the left of the decimal point.
FIX: The Unit of Measure Converter no longer closes after determining a water ratio value.

 

Ver 1.00c (2003 MAY 27)
ADD: The ability to determine the water ratio (absolute humidity) of Air is supported in the [Options] menu.
ADD: A gas properties tab is added, to display gas specific quantities based on pressure, temperature and humidity.
ADD: The following mass flow units were added: kg/m, kg/h, mg/m, mg/h, g/s, g/m, g/h, lb/s, lb/m and lb/h.

 

Ver 1.00b (2002 APR 01)
FIX: Flow and length units now support comma decimal separator.

 

Ver 1.00a (2002 APR 15)
ADD: The flow unit reference pressure and temperature fields are disabled when the flow unit does not require user entry of the reference conditions. The reference conditions for the flow unit display in the fields when applicable.
ADD: International support of decimal separators in all fields and displays. The Windows Control Panel Regional Settings Decimal Separator field determines the decimal separator that the Unit of Measure Converter uses.
ADD: The conversion of pressure units that are fundamentally identical, did not use exactly the same conversion factor. Therefore, the conversion between these units would begin to diverge when comparing resolution beyond 1 PPM: (1 part per million). The affected units are lbFft˛ (psf), lbFin˛ (psi) and inHg@32F(inHg@0C).
ADD: A new enumerated type for flow units: eFunit. Users of the Unit of Measure Converter as an ActiveX control will find this a more direct method of converting flow units.
ADD: The DH Instruments logo on the main display and the DH Instruments address in the about text are hot links to www.dhinstruments.com.
ADD: Updated the help file with miscellaneous changes and added a section related to version history.
FIX: ATM pressure unit conversion is corrected. It was inverted: 101325 instead of 1/101325.
FIX: The reference conditions of flow units are now switched when the [Invert] button is pressed.

Download and execute the self extracting unitconv.exe.
